LEMC

The Lasallian Educational Mission Council (LEMC) monitors the mission and operation of Lasallian Schools of Greece, whose members are appointed by Brother Visitor Provincial of the French Province.

The Lasallian Educational Mission Council consists of nine (9) members:

• Brother Visitor Provincial of the French Province or his deputy Brother   
• the Head of the Council, who represents Brother Visitor in Greece
• the representative of the Brothers’ Community in Greece
• the Coordinator of the Lasallian Animation and Formation Council
• the Principals General of Lasallian schools and Ursuline School

The Lasallian Educational Mission Council is responsible for:

• designing and implementing the general educational policy of Lasallian schools in Greece and Ursuline schools in administration matters.
• deciding, in cooperation with the Lasallian Animation and Formation Council, on motivation and training themes.
• monitoring, assessing and motivating through visits of the Head of the Council, the compliance with general educational policy and the implementation of the Educational Plan in each school.
• making provisions of training new members and submitting to Frère Visiteur the names of the new Principals General.
• aligning the educational mission in Greece with the decisions of the Institute of The Brothers of Christian Schools and the French Province, under whose jurisdiction the Lasallian schools of Greece function.
