Administration - Supervision
NATIONAL LEVEL
The responsibility of the mission and function of the Greek Lasallian Schools lies with the Lasallian Educational Mission Council (LEMC) whose members are appointed by the Brother Visitor Provincial of the French Province.
Τhe Lasallian Educational Mission Council is responsible for
- determining the general educational policy of the Greek Lasallian Schools as well as that of the schools of Ursuline in matters of administration.
- deciding, along with the Lasallian Animation and Formation Council (LAFC), for animation and training.
- monitoring, evaluating and encouraging, through visits of the Head of the Council, the compliance with the general educational policy and the implementation of the Educational Plan in each school.
- preparing the new stuff and submitting the names of new principals general to the Brother Visitor.
- adapting the orientation of the Educational mission in Greece, based on the decisions of the Institute of The Brothers of Cristian Schools and f the French Province, to which the Lasallian Schools of Greece belong.
LOCAL LEVEL
Locally, the Lasallian and Ursuline Schools are led by Principals General appointed by the Brother Visitor and who cooperate in their tenure with:
- the Head of the Lasallian Educational Mission Council and representative of the Brother Visitor.
- the boards of directors in each school: the principals general, principals and deputy principals.
- the Financial Management Committees.
PRINCIPALS GENERAL and BOARDS OF PRINCIPALS
The Principals General are appointed by the Brother Visitor for a specific period of time, represent the Monasteries -which own the schools- before the authorities, organizations and banks and have responsibility for administration, financial management and implementation of schools' educational policy.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES (FMC)
Each such committee shall consist of five members, proposed by the Principal General and appointed by the Head of the Lasallian Educational Mission Council. The members of the Committee monitor the financial progress of the schools and work with the Principal General on issues related to school management.
